On November 5, 2024, the Faculty of Social Sciences UIII hosted its first-ever Interdisciplinary Lecture, focusing on “The Politics of Climate Change: International and Domestic Challenges.” This session featured three distinguished speakers: Colin Kuehl from Northern Illinois University, who discussed “Conditional Cooperation: Do Regional Norms Shape International Environmental Agreements?”; James Guild from UIII, who explored “The Limits of International Efforts to Address Climate Change”; and A’an Suryana from UIII, who delved into “Are Radical Forms of Resistance Effective in Promoting the Cause of Anti-Climate Change Campaign?” The lecture provided valuable insights into the complexities surrounding global climate action, with engaging discussions among the audience.
