Dr. James Guild completed his Ph.D in International Political Economy at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies in 2020. At UIII, he teaches in the Masters of Public Policy program with a focus on Climate Change. His research focuses on the political economy of economic development in Southeast Asia with an emphasis on Indonesia and touches on a variety of topics including energy policy, trade, finance, investment, technology and infrastructure. Dr. Guild writes a weekly column for The Diplomat covering economic developments in the region, and has published in the Pacific Review, Asia & the Pacific Policy Studies and Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investment.
