Prof. Komaruddin Hidayat is an Indonesian academic, intellectual, and former rector who currently serves as the Chairman of the Press Council for the 2025–2028 term. He previously held significant leadership roles as the Rector of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta from 2006 to 2015 and as the first Rector of Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) from 2019 to 2024.
