On Saturday, September 7th, 2024, the Faculty of Social Sciences at Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) held an important seminar discussing the latest changes in credit hour regulations. This session, led by Suparto, Ph.D., Head of the Education Quality Assurance Center, was part of the Faculty’s full-board meeting at Vertu Harmoni, Central Jakarta. The seminar addressed updates aligning with Permendikbudristek Number 53 of 2023, particularly how these changes will impact both Master’s and Doctoral programs.

The seminar, attended by all FOSS faculty members and staff, presented key updates such as revised credit hour (SKS) requirements. One of the central discussions focused on how the faculty can adapt to the evolving demands of the quality assurance system, particularly to the changes in the credit system. The seminar explored strategies to ensure that the SKS requirements shift aligns with academic standards and the broader goals of enhancing teaching and learning outcomes.

In addition to these updates, the seminar emphasized the importance of aligning learning outcomes with the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI). This ensures that the curriculum meets national education standards and prepares students to compete in both academic and professional fields globally.

As the Faculty of Social Sciences UIII prepares for the upcoming academic year, these changes in credit hour regulations are expected to enhance the learning experience, providing students with a more structured, flexible, and research-driven education tailored to meet the highest educational standards.
