On September 30, 2024, the Faculty of Social Sciences (FOSS) at UIII hosted a public lecture by Assoc. Prof. Adrienne Johnson from the University of San Francisco. The lecture, titled “Private Standards, Plant Disease, and Power: Governing the Ecologies of Palm Oil Industry through the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil,” explored critical issues surrounding sustainability and governance in the palm oil industry. Held in Classroom 9, Faculty B Building, the session provided attendees with valuable insights into the intersection of environmental governance and industry standards.
