About

This module provides an application of generalized linear regression models to social science data. Topics include simple and multivariate Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression, the assumptions of regression, and diagnostics. The module objectives are:

  • To understand the fundamental concepts and assumptions of regression:
  • To review simple and multiple Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression with an emphasis on model specification and estimation;
  • To examine the assumptions of regression and propose methods to detect and correct violations in assumptions;
  • To apply multiple regression models to social and behavioral research problems: estimate regression equations with continuous and categorical predictor variables.
